Denis O’Brien

For over forty years, Denis has been committed to helping his clients achieve their financial goals and reach retirement successfully.

Through a combination of extensive experience in retirement planning and the markets, Denis has developed a holistic approach to planning that focuses on a clients unique needs and circumstances, providing personalized planning and recommendations that tackle even the most uncommon of circumstances.

Denis has been married to the love of his life, Lori, for 30 years and together they live in Mystic, CT where they raised their three sons, Cutter, Justin, and Beau. Denis is an avid reader with a particular interest in the spy/thriller genre. He is also a dedicated sports fan and loves watching his UConn Men’s and Women’s basketball teams play. Together, Denis and Lori love traveling to National Parks and spending time with their three beautiful granddaughters. Denis is a past member of the Town of Groton Retirement Board. He also previously served on the vestry at St. Marks in Mystic, CT and was a member of the Town of Groton Representative Town Meeting, Past President of the New London Public Library and former Treasurer of New London County Historical Society. He is also proud to have been active in youth sports for many years in Groton, CT.

Beau O’Brien

Beau began his career working in tech and advertising in New York City after graduating from the University of Connecticut. Through roles at various industry leading companies, he developed a strong skill set in data analysis and project management, working in both corporate and startup environments.

Having grown up around his father’s business, Beau developed a keen interest in the markets and personal finance at a young age. After several years working in the New York City tech scene, Beau decided to pursue his combined passion for helping others and personal finance by becoming a financial advisor and joining O’Brien Retirement Investment Group in 2021.

Beau is devoted to helping his clients take control of their financial lives, providing first-class service and a practical approach to planning.

Beau was born and raised in Mystic, Connecticut, and currently resides in Stonington, Connecticut with his wife Megan. In his free time Beau enjoys playing guitar and being outdoors. He is a passionate supporter of UConn Men’s Basketball, the Yankees, and Chelsea FC. He also has a passion for movies and screenwriting.
